Why Choose Us
Real work, real results. Here's what we do and what our customers say.
Company Overview
ArcNexis Group is a converged engineering and services company, bringing electrical, security, engineering, digital and consultancy expertise together under one roof. We work with homeowners and businesses across the Wirral, Chester and North Wales, from domestic installations and gate automation through to full commercial rewires, EV charging, and large-scale industrial power and energy projects.
What sets ArcNexis apart is the depth of engineering behind the work. Every installation is properly designed, fully tested and certified, delivered to a genuinely high standard with honest advice and clear communication throughout. From a single socket to a complete energy project, we bring the same understanding of the engineering that makes an installation safe, efficient and built to last, and we're proud to put our name to every job we complete.
About the Founder
ArcNexis was founded by Lee Hardman, a multi-disciplined engineer with over 25 years' experience across electrical and mechanical engineering, energy and large-scale project delivery. A Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the Institute of Leadership (MIoL), Lee combines deep technical expertise with genuine project leadership, a breadth not often found across the industry.
His career includes delivering complex engineering projects for some of the world's most recognised organisations, including Siemens, Airbus, Knauf Insulation, Essity and Mondelez, as well as building and leading a successful multi-branch engineering business. Backed by an HND in Operations Engineering and higher-level qualifications in Leadership and Management, he has particular strength in managing large-scale projects from initial scope through to final delivery, with specialist expertise in Energy Performance Contracts.
This is matched by an extensive set of electrical qualifications, including the City & Guilds Level 4 Award in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (2396), the AM2E electrotechnical assessment, a JIB Gold Card, inspection and testing, 18th Edition wiring regulations, EV charging, and Solar PV and battery storage installation. Lee's engineering background runs deeper still, spanning mechanical and electrical design, AutoCAD drawing and documentation, pipework systems, process chillers, and preventative maintenance through condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging.
It is this blend of qualifications, hands-on experience and engineering leadership, applied equally across domestic, commercial and industrial work, that defines the ArcNexis standard.
Recent Work
A look at three projects we've delivered recently.
Automated Swing Gates & Intercom – Heswall
Challenge
A Heswall homeowner wanted to improve the security and safety of their property with controlled, gated access and video entry, while keeping a clean finish with no bulky above-ground motors on show.
Solution
We supplied and installed a pair of lightweight aluminium swing gates automated with CAME Frog-X underground motors, a fully brushless 24V system chosen for silent, fast operation and long service life. The work included all groundwork and foundation boxes for the underground drives, a complete intercom system for secure visitor entry, and the full electrical installation, testing and certification.
Result
A discreet, near-invisible automation setup that improved security and everyday safety, with reliable operation, built-in obstacle detection, and integrated intercom access, handed over fully tested and certified.
Office Rewire & Workplace EV Charging – Chester
Challenge
A Chester business was running on a dated, ageing electrical system that was no longer fit for purpose, and needed a full electrical installation to serve a new building extension, along with EV charging for staff vehicles.
Solution
We carried out a complete office rewire with a new consumer unit, and extended the electrical infrastructure to serve the new extension. For the staff car park we installed multiple 7.4kW Ohme smart chargers, run from their own dedicated consumer unit, with the full package of inspection, testing and certification, the complete works from first fix to final sign-off.
Result
The business moved from an outdated, unreliable setup to a modern, safe and fully compliant installation, with the capacity to support its expanded premises and smart, tariff-aware EV charging for staff, all handed over fully tested and certified.
Plant Room Design & Power Installation – Deeside
Challenge
An industrial site in Deeside was installing new equipment and needed a design review of its existing electrical supply to confirm it could take the additional load, along with accurate load calculations to correctly size the cabling for the new plant room equipment.
Solution
We reviewed the existing installation, carried out the load calculations to determine the correct cable sizes for the new equipment, and installed the new supply and infrastructure in the plant room. Everything was installed, tested, certified and fully documented.
Result
A more reliable and efficient installation, correctly sized and future-proofed for the new equipment, with the existing supply verified as fit for the additional load, all handed over fully tested and certified.
