Electric Gate Installation Across the Wirral
Gate automation from a CAME partner installer, with the electrical supply behind it handled in house.
ArcNexis is a CAME partner and installer for automated gates, barriers and access control, based on the Wirral and working across towns including Heswall, Bebington, Bromborough and Wallasey, as well as Chester and North Wales. We handle new installations and automating gates you already have. Most gate installs need an electrical supply behind them, power to the motor, cabling for photocells and safety edges, and ArcNexis carries out that work in house as a NAPIT registered contractor, rather than subcontracting it out. For the wider range of security systems we install, including CCTV, intruder alarms and video intercoms, see our Security page.
Gate Types We Install
Swing and sliding gates, new or automated from existing, plus discreet underground motor options.

Swing gates
CAME arm motors suit narrower openings and traditional swing gates, giving smooth, quiet operation from a compact above ground drive.

Sliding gates
CAME BXV brushless motors suit wider driveways and commercial entrances, with a silent 24V drive built for frequent use.

Automating Existing Gates in the Wirral
Already have a gate? In most cases we can automate it without replacing it.
Most existing swing and sliding gates across the Wirral, from West Kirby and Hoylake to Neston and Birkenhead, can be fitted with CAME motors without replacing the gate itself, so you get the same convenience without the cost of a full new installation.
Gate Safety & Servicing in the Wirral
Every installation includes obstacle detection, a manual release and photocell or safety edge protection.

Manual release in a power cut
CAME FROG-X underground motors include a manual release lever, so the gate can still be opened by hand if the power goes off.
All our gate installs include obstacle detection, so the gate stops or reverses if something is in the way, along with photocells or safety edges to protect anyone standing nearby. Installations are carried out to comply with current gate safety standards, and we also offer ongoing servicing and repairs for gate motors we've installed across the Wirral.
CAME Connect
Operate and monitor your gate from your phone, wherever you are.
Gate & Video Entry
Gate automation and video entry often go together, so visitors can be seen and let in from the same system.

See and speak to visitors before you let them in
CAME video intercom systems pair with your gate so you can see and speak to visitors from a wall panel or your phone before opening up. See our Security page for the full range of video intercom and access control options.

Automated Swing Gates & Intercom – Heswall
Challenge
A Heswall homeowner wanted to improve the security and safety of their property with controlled, gated access and video entry, while keeping a clean finish with no bulky above-ground motors on show.
Solution
We supplied and installed a pair of lightweight aluminium swing gates automated with CAME Frog-X underground motors, a fully brushless 24V system chosen for silent, fast operation and long service life. The work included all groundwork and foundation boxes for the underground drives, a complete intercom system for secure visitor entry, and the full electrical installation, testing and certification.
Result
A discreet, near-invisible automation setup that improved security and everyday safety, with reliable operation, built-in obstacle detection, and integrated intercom access, handed over fully tested and certified.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to the questions we're asked most often about gate automation.
Do you install electric gates across the Wirral?
Yes. We install and automate electric gates throughout the Wirral, including Heswall, West Kirby, Hoylake, Bebington, Bromborough, Neston, Wallasey and Birkenhead, and we also cover Chester and North Wales.
Should we choose swing or sliding gates?
Swing gates suit narrower, more traditional openings, while sliding gates suit wider driveways and commercial entrances where there isn't room for a gate to swing. We'll recommend the right option after a site survey.
What happens in a power cut?
Every gate motor we install includes a manual release, so the gate can still be opened and closed by hand if the power goes off.
Do you carry out the electrical work too?
Yes. ArcNexis is NAPIT registered and carries out all electrical work behind your gate installation in house, from power to the motor to any new cabling required, rather than subcontracting it out.
